About the Event
Join us for a discussion about the legislation to prevent paying Georgians with disabilities
subminimum wages. HR 1125 did not pass this year. We must continue to work together to phase
out the practice of subminimum wages as has been done in Tennessee and South Carolina. A
significant part of successfully phasing out 14c in Georgia is ensuring individuals with I/DD have
meaningful days based on personal choices. Dr. Tracy Rackensperger will lead a discussion on
the following:
- The definition of meaningful days as based on true self-determination.
- How can providers and stakeholders modify practices to ensure meaningful days based on personal choices.
